A glimpse into one of my buddies minds, how I see him when I read his poetry.

Pain evident, seeping through the letters and spilling on the page,

Angriness in words like a crouching lion in his cage,

Emotions transparent as the glass in the mirror,

Reflecting back thoughts of a misunderstood sinner,

Crying for help or at least understanding,

And getting a deaf ear and more reprimanding,

For speaking his mind and sayin the truth,

"He just doesn't get it" is their lame ass excuse,

For not taking the time to just sit and listen,

To my view of life and why it's a prison,

Why I'm now trapped with no way of escape

And how I don't know how much more I can take

Before I just lash out at whoever is near

Destroying all that I love and all I hold dear

One little push and that's all it will take

So please watch your step and make no mistakes

Cuz I don't want to hurt you but I know that I can

If you keep tellin me my problems don't fit in your plans

So you don't want to help me, that's all good and fine

But stop pretending you care, you're just wasting my time.
