poem about the body as a canvas for all the emotions we feel throughout life.
hurt

wearing scars cannot always be so bad
like a canvas bears it's art
I display mine proudly
as if i have a choice

each mark closer to the one
i wish to bear

and i have inflicted my own
so carelessly.

in the moonlight
i see my marks
so deep
so fine
and so a part of me.
