This is a poem I wrote about my anxiety.
While music is just sound
And colours aren't feelings;
When metaphors are only relative
And empathy can only ever be sympathy;
While my eyes blue out
The light of my soul on fire,
My heart beats harder.

While my ink is too faded
And my dreams disappear into words;
When all my guilt can't be
Admitted and freed, just felt;
While unmending hearts
Break and dry up,
My heart must beat harder.

Yet

When my heart beats harder;
While it kicks and screams,
Dieing
To explode into eternity in one last beat;
To become inside-out for a final embrace;
To bleed this blood-stained heart clean and free;
To burn in this blue ink red hot;
To blind the world with my fiery light,
So to let the world dwell in the darkness I have lived;
So to let the world, for once, feel, and only feel,
My heart will beat through.
