We try and listen
Try to know
Understand Others
Yet still it shows

Each of us islands
In our own little sea
Is this the way
It was meant to be?

He walks down your street
Casts you a lonely glance
Could this be your opening?
Your redeeming chance

She is so different
No one wants to see
Could this be the start?
Could you give her the key?

Sometimes a smile
Is all we need
To make a difference
And take the lead.
