A poem dedicated to the one I love.
Sometimes I sit alone, thinking quietly to myself
I stare at the journal, empty pages before me
And during this moment, every lonely midnight
I close my eyes, letting memories flood my mind

Darkness clouds my mentality, almost like in a dream
Single silhouettes forming from shadow's depths
One standing out above all the rest that fade
Features sharpening, refusing to hide behind a blur

Deep brown eyes that see right through my soul
Vaguely familiar, the reflection of me I see
Outline camouflaging, as fragments build together
Recognition finally grasping the love in me

I open my eyes, momentarily within reality's clutch
The dim light revealing the lined pages still unfilled
The thinking, wondering, and visions now ceased
For I've found the words I wish to voice, to speak

Thoughts fill the pages, never once do I stall
My reason for living pictured perfectly clear
Only now do I stop, the pages under completion
Only now do I close this diary of my impression

Closing my eyes again, the night apparently clear
My words, my thoughts, consume my mind once more
The expression, “I love you…”, lingers on my lips
Words linger in my head, the entire diary of you
