Winds that frighten, winds that soothe
Winds can cause so much harm
When storms come upon the shore
Bringing to one such alarm
Praying for never more

The storms of nature that wreak such damage
Can leave us unsettled, with so much fear
The home, the land, can be so ravaged
In safety we hold loved ones near

Praying that the storm will pass
And leave us safe and well
Sparing the things that we have amassed
Leaving us with such stories to tell

Winds, however, of a gentler kind
Can warm the frozen soul
In the words shared between common minds
Bringing loneliness under control

Your words they are my summer breeze
Soft, and gentle I feel the lift
So much shared, all with ease
Each word from you a gift

The soft sound that echoes throughout
As I read, lost within your mail
Rustling long lost emotions no doubt
In that, you never fail

May the harsh winds of summer's season
Spare you, and yours, of grief
May God's protection be the reason
You are allowed nothing but relief

And may the gentler kind of winds
Be shared between you and I
May the bond never end
Winds lifting us above clouds, souls to fly
