I never knew that I could feel so much so soon,
I never knew that someone could just come in and crash through my walls and allow me to love again.
I never knew, until I met you

You took my heart and in return, gave me yours,
You replaced my misery and despair with hope and faith,
You made me believe that I could be truly happy,

I stare at you while you sleep and I wonder what you are dreaming,
I hold your hand and hope you are dreaming of me,
As I lay my head upon you feeling safe and content

I melt when I look into your beautiful blue eyes,
Eyes that say so much, so much that the voice does not
Through your eyes, I see all that you cannot say

I see a man who is afraid, but yet so brave,
I see a man so fragile, but yet so strong,
I see a man who loves, but who still shields his heart,
I see a man who let me into his heart and who swept me off my feet,
Who captivated my heart with his warmth, kindness and love,
I see a man who took my love and appreciated and accepted it for all that it was

Every day with you is a special gift,
One that I will always treasure and keep close to my heart,
