I wrote this when princess diana passed away.
You came into our lives as a maiden so fair,
your kind gentle face and beautiful blonde hair.
You appeared so quiet and infinitely shy,
but the day you left us you made us all cry.

Like an angel you came to set the world right,
to break down barriers and fight the good fight.
You traveled the world reaching all its parts,
but the day you left us you broke all our hearts .

You married Prince Charles and had kids of your
own,
you took on the role of wife to the throne.
You showed us a woman with such grace and style,
but the day you left us you took our smile.

The news when it came left us bereft,
who was responsible for your tragic death.
Why did your life end on that day,
when the good lord came and took you away.

Though to us you are no longer here.
your children I'm sure you will remain near.
You taught us Iife through the depth of your love,
and now you await us in the heavens above.
