About being deceived by someone you love.
She slithers, her body smooth to the hand.
Quick tickling flicks of her fork and
The gentle blink of her eye put me to rest.
She whispers sensually, incomprehensively.
I allow her to caress my shoulder as
She repositions herself around me
The beauty of her skin worth
More to me than danger.
I relax my guard.
Fool.
Fate strikes my throat,
The razor edge of the fork
Cleaning up any spills as her
Daggers pierce my ignorance.
The venomous hiss echoes in my ears
Causing the bells to ring too late.
She sucks on my impurity, restocking
Deceit. Twinkling stars have been replaced
With a ghoulish glow and a seductive shimmer.
Once the deed is done she leaves,
The flesh wound all that I feel.
I’m dying alone.
