A short poem from a personal experience. xxxxx
An unfamiliar scene
Has come to stand…
Lovers together
Holding hands

…This moment in time
Suspends at its grace
Something so precious
A familiar face

He’s mourning a loss
Its not clear from his face
His shining smile
It leaves no trace

Our starry eyes meet
Reflecting the past
Of what once was lost
And what now has been cast

What lies ahead
Is always unknown
His life is his
And mine is my own.
