A poem I wrote about my late Mother
On a late night in September
The angel's came and took her away
The pain that it caused left me speechless
I did not know what to say

She was hit by a car they told me
She could not have lived through
I told them to stop lieing
There was no way it was you

There is no way you would have left me
You were my very best friend
But when it finally hit me
There was a pain that had no end

I saw you that night in your casket
You lay there so stiff and so cold
How could God take you so early
You were only 40 years old

So now it is 13 years later
I always wonder if you can see
I ask you every night in my prayers
Momma are you proud of me ?

I have not got an answer
But I know I will one day
For you will be there waiting
When the angels come take me away
