MY HELPMEET
July 6, 2006

An audience of one;
a ready-made fan.
Conjured from the heart of God:
A wife; she’s in His plan!
A spectator for me,
a one-man assembly.
With eyes and ears for no one else
but to attend to me!

A congregation she must be;
an attentive listening crowd.
My very own devotee
to cheer me real loud!
When I need admiration
or an ego boost or two
I can rely on my other half;
it’s the thing she has to do!

God gave her ears to hear me
and eyes to see my needs;
a heart with overflowing love
reflecting in her deeds.
My following, my public,
my very own bride, my she--
Who lives to watch me blossom;
to praise and applaud me!
