A short poem about the importance of making yourself heard.
Flow

Poetic and pathetic, distant and static,
Not reacting to the electric flow.
Deciding not to go, preferring not to show,
Yourself to the world.

You think you don’t matter, nothing but a rung on a ladder,
And you’re probably right but you should keep in your sight
The fact that very soon no-one will be able to hear your tune,
You’ll be lost in the sand dunes, a black and white cartoon,
Dead and buried.

You gotta pick up the guitar and stretch your arms out far,
Open the jar and release into the stars, because who cares,
If nobody listens to your song, it still belongs,
And the sound, even if unheard, deserves to be sung.
