The beginning and the End

Stained

I was eating a hot dog
When you came into the room
I had mustard on my shirt
And you looked at it and then you grinned
We were only strangers
And every stranger is a friend
We were only young
So who knows we could meet again
But I hate chance
It's only false opportunity
So I waited again for you to glance
Then I walked the room
Hi
How are you?
Take me for a trip
And we flew right from there
Off of that tiny yellow carpet
We made bliss for awhile
Until the color in your eyes went black
And you couldn’t see the light
Or me either in fact
But it was too late by this time
Your drug searched my veins
And deterioration became a stain on that yellow carpet
I miss you so much
And I can’t help something that doesn’t know its wrong
And I make love to you still
In my head
All night long
