A personal poem about my feelings towards the film Taxi Driver.
Last night I spoke to Innocence
Driven out this dirty town couldn't pay the rent
Couldn't see Hope in this masquerade
Said This gun here may save my soul today

Pandora's eyes were filled with tears today
She's got a timeless face but it shows her age
24 hours until the revolution
Going through moves with no more intention

She needs the passion of her glory days
until the flag cast shadows on her face
Living as the ones she set free
Freedom's only what they let it be

So we lived among the broken bones
after riots, young lovers chokes and moans
the garden of eden strewn with burnt out cars
He said every paradise leaves her scars
