A poem of romance
No knight in shining armor does she search for
Hope and despair infiltrate her soul to darken it
The dream of true love does she now abhor
Pangs of self pity she’ll never admit
Still she waits

No longer enchanted by once was sought
The stars in her blue eyes faded and gone
Lines of love no longer bought
Unwilling to confess that she feels forlorn
Still she waits

Then, to her surprise, alas her knight finally appears,
At the time he’s needed and makes her heart roast
Gone are the loneliness and all of her fears,
For she’s found what was needed the most
Still she waits…but now has found hope

Annoint me with sweet kisses,
Sweep me into your corded arms
Show me what true bliss is
I’m enraptured by your charm

Bring teas of fulfilment to my eyes,
Take comfort in knowing I’m there
Show me passion undisguised,
In return, you’ll find it shared

Stroll with me down lover’s lane
Take me under the shimmering stars
Life without you wouldn’t be the same,
For I love you for who you are

Two hearts joined we’ll forever be
Know you’re the love I’ll always treasure
You’re the entire universe to me
A sentiment nothing can sever…
For our two hearts beat as one
