About learning to live with the sadness, and liking it.
You have to bite the bullet
Before the bullet bites you back.
You have to see the darkness
Before the darkness turns you black.

It’s not like every time you talk,
People are going to hear,
It not like everyone you love,
Will always remain so dear.

Bullets will be deadly
If you don’t learn how to duck,
But nothing, nothing can hurt you
If you just don’t give a fuck.

Learn my darling,
Listen.
Hear me as I speak.
You’ve got to turn the lights down
To see what you really seek.
Lights down, baby, darkness,
Nothing but this black.
And now I see you standing there
And there is no turning back.

Can you learn?
Predict the future?
See just what’s in store?
Can you see me standing here?
Turning for the door?

Not to make you scared
Or wonder what is wrong,
But I cant see the light now,
It’s been dark for much too long.
You come to love the sadness,
Come to embrace the pain.
Because at least you can count on it,
It’ll always be back again.
