A silly little love poem that was born on the Waccamaw River in South Carolina
The River Waccamaw

When the sun sets on the Waccamaw
You can lose your soul
Somewhere, in the evening mist
You find your bliss
On the River Waccamaw.

The sun lay down in a tangerine sky
and the moon, she followed along.
And I saw it all reflected in your eyes
in the twilight over Waccamaw.

You smiled at me, and my heart skipped a beat
when we heard the osprey’s call.
And I felt it then, in the evening wind,
I’d found true love at Waccamaw.

When the sun set on the Waccamaw
We lost our souls.
Together, in the evening mist,
We found our bliss
On the River Waccamaw.
