A humorous twist on a newspaperman's handicap.

Some say blind men do not see.
Today’s experience approaches differently.
Whether he sees, or whether he can not.
Intuitions tell me there’s more to this plot.

It’s similar to the man who is hard of hearing.
Growing old, he believes is all he is fearing.
His brow perks up when something interesting is said.
Would one say this inability is all in his head?

Getting back to the story currently at hand.
Of the blind man who stops by the newspaper stand.
And fumbles through papers, then ponders the thought.
If anyone sees that he doesn’t seem distraught.

Reaching into his pocket to get change for the charge.
Of his purchase of this paper in his hand is at large.
The newspaperman grins as he waits on the man.
Unable to hold back, laughs as hard as he can.

The blind man asks," what has caused all the humor.
If you heard something sir, possibly it was just rumor.
There is much in my life that I choose not to see.
Granted some sights in my life have been taken from me."

But searching through papers, finding something to read.
For a blind man, one thinks it ludicrous indeed.
Having nothing to feel that translates into braille.
You assume it is wasted without that detail.

But let me assure you of what is at hand.
"Slowly I’ll speak, so you’ll understand.
This newspapers good, it’s in the thickness of it’s page.
After I’m done with my articles, it will line Tweety’s cage".
