When I am in an emo mood... this sort of thing comes up. It was pretty fun to write.
Verse 1
If I were to die tomorrow
To leave you alone
Give you peace
Give you space
Would you miss me?
If I were to turn back
And wish to see
your clear blue eyes
Would you be feeling
The same about me?

If I were to disappear
Leave a space
on the dotted line
Instead of my name
Would you notice?
If the void opened up
And took me inside
A cold lifeless embrace
until I’m no more
Would you search for me?

Chorus
Should I stand tall
Like domination
To make you see that I
Still need your voice
Or should I hide myself
Away and give you room
To breathe,
Do you even want a choice?
Do you even love me at all?
Feel anything different at all?
Should I just give up and go away…
Or do you want me here to stay?

Verse 2
If I were born tomorrow
Showed up on your doorstep
With no home to call my own
And in need of care
Would you take me?
If I were in pain
Shivering in cold
Starving and suffering
Needing someone to hold
Would you help me?

Chorus

I haven’t seen you
for so long
It’s hard to keep our ties
solid and strong
So I don’t know if you care
As much as I wish you would…
As much as I hope you would

Chorus x2

Here to stay…
