About the birth and the withering away of a flower
A flower....

It begins to grow out of the stem,
small and discerning to the human eye.
In a few days it is a bud,
and then it turns into a flower.

It grows unaware of peering eyes,
ready to snatch it the moment it is in full bloom.
It enjoys not the beauty of nature
but, finds itself in someone's drawing room.

It has no one to call its own, and stays there in the mirky water,
till the lady of the house has new guests and the house is done up again.
It slowly finds itself in the garbage bag, suffocated by the plastic all around,
and then gasps for air......
