Describes where I played as a child.
SEPTEMBER WOODS 1963

I remember September Woods 1963

Cozy warm sun shining bright

Enchanting whistles, Whispering leaves

Breezes as cool as night, I breathed.

Outside my bedroom window

Behind our red barn house

Sunsets like butter

against apricot skies.

Imagining, I could be anything

with my childhood curious wondering

Build huts with stick - weeds

Roll down bumpy hills

Ride bikes through tangled trails.

I remember September woods

As if it were yesterday

I love going back - To reminisce

1963 will always be missed

My giant playground

My secret hiding place.

September Woods

Faye
