This poem is to make a point of moving on and letting go.
I saw you
Your image bent and curved
In the scoop of my eye
Your face came in rainy colors
It was the storm cloud of a bright day
Your fierce voice as deep as a drum beat
And it shared tones and undertones of fear
It growled in sandy grit
Those rolling shoulders, so tight
They roped together your strangled neck
There is a pain in everyday
But do not carry it on your back
This, now, is when you shrug it off
Turn away
