The man I fell in love with through a skien of yarn!
THE YARN WE SHARED
December 2000

As I was out ‘surfing’
one fine summer noon,
the screen all lit up
just as bright as the sky,

I found an appeal
all wrapped in fine wording,
so well-wrapped it urged me
to give it a try.

Seems this pen from downunder
was seeking a friendship,
and offered his prospect
a skein of fine yarn,

so I picked up my own pen
and plunged in the ocean,
leaving behind me
one horse in a barn.

And as we met halfway,
our hearts didn’t stop there,
they kept right on going
til ‘we’ became ‘one’.

So now all my days
are filled with his blessings
and all of my nights
are sated with fun!

“Noddie groo, nar coddle swee,
na groo da Gefaddon.
Pretz nar immmer groo da
for all of my life.”

And some day, God willing,
we will be together;
you as my husband,
and me as your wife.

So I love you, my fine friend,
and I’ll love you forever.
Yes, I’ll always love you,
for the rest of my life.
