the allegory of the rock
Here lies the rock
The stone
The worse than senseless thing
That lies among love
In the company of
Unrequittion and prevarication
The stone
Eventually smoothed
Worn
And overgrown with moss
Due to time spent being solid
The pillar
That thing upon which all leans
Around me all things change
The people
The faces
The trees, the land
The times
And deeper, the skies
Eventually I will erode
Into magma
My cycle, I will return
To the earth form which I was made
A rock my love
In fact this rock does
This stones infatuates
However no creature yet seen
Can stand still with the rock
