I can find peace there,
Where whales sing.
In the calm deep blue,

Away from cars and their noise,
Away from the city stench,
Away to where I can hear my thoughts.

Looking up at the watery sun,
Shine its light to the sandy bottom,
Chasing the shadows around,
In harmony to the waves on a distant shore.

Suspended in this fae world,
Of colourful coral and crabs,
Soaring rainbows of fish,

The current washing my fears away,
Draining the stress and tension,
Leaving pure bliss behind.

That’s my favourite place.
Where I may hear my thoughts,
Surrounded by creatures of every size.

The silence of the sea,
Is not a silence at all…
But an echo, of an echo,
Of the lower music, of the mystery.

Sea weeds wave at me,
Moving languidly and at ease,
Lazily cheerful, sleepily content,

At a glance nothing,
At a gaze a thousand wonders,
Waiting be revealed.

Listening to the beating of my heart,
To the slapping of waves on a distant shore.
I can find peace there.
