Visions Of A Corvid
Can you see her, sleeping there?
Over in the deep green copse.
Her bower of withered autumn leaves
and bright, living June grasses.
Skeins of dying sunlight intertwined
with wishes and memories.

Curled up tightly; the cool night breezes
play fitfully with her long, tangled hair.
Her body alabaster pale, where it is not covered
in feathers of gleaming ebony.
She stirs in her sleep, while dreaming her crow dreams-
and as she turns, you can see the slender shape of her beak;
and the graceful curve of her hip.
Her jewelled fingers splayed open; a dimly glowing star
nestled in the cup of her palm.

She caws softly, as in her dream, she gives chase,
winging after her lover, the raven.
Step closer to her, and step gently into her vision...

Sacred.
The two, caught in glistening twilight flight;
suspended above the world, and in between the stars.
A tender kiss, rendered silver by the light of the bone moon.
