Unremitted
A trickling feeling
flowing all around me,
the soothing sensation
wrapping me in its arms.
I laugh because I'm happy.
I cry because I'm happy,
and this sensation
fails to wither and die.
My eyes are open
as it eludes me.
My mouth is open
as it consumes me.
Flowing in the distance
I can see it waiting.
I cry because I'm sad.
I laugh because I'm sad,
and before the woeful
sorrow lays thick,
I smile, because it's happy.
