About Ground Zero and feelings I have whenever I pass by it.
No matter how many times
I pass that spot.
It's so hard to believe
that four years ago it was different.
I remember years before that tragic day,
I would always pass by that spot.
And I was always amazed
by how big and tall those buildings were.
And I always hoped
to one day go inside like so many New Yorkers and tourists had before.
But that hope was taken away
by an act of violence.
It was a few months later
I was able to bring myself back to that spot.
As I passes Ground Zero,
I found it hard to believe that's where the towers once stood.
And every time I still pass there
tears always form.
Because now out skyline is changed,
no longer do photos look the same.
There is still something missing,
and you always can sense it.
And even though time has passed,
it's still hard to overcome all that has happened.
Because New York City's skyline
has forever changed.
