This is for the people who's father or mother walked out on them and never came back.
My hair sways in the spring
My tears dry in the fall
The earth begins to shake
And everyone falls

The phone begins to ring
I check the caller I.D.
When I see it's not you
My heart begins to weep

This is some of the stuff you missed out on
The things you didn't get to see
You never did walk me into school
Or cared to tend to me

You never did do your job
Or step up to the plate
You never really wanted my mom
Or me when I was a baby

I was naive
I didn't see
That you were never good
I always thought you will rescue me
And do just what you should

But now I have grown old enough
To see you never cared
There is a new dad in my life
To replace the emptiness you left here

I pray that you would find your way home
To the only one you have left
I have left you all alone
I hope fire burns in your chest

This is my good-bye
Because I doubt we'll meet again
This is the end of my poem
But now I have a new beginning
