Title is self-explanatory.
Dying

I lay here dying alone in my room,
With each breath taken, impending doom.
I can't escape, there's only one way out,
Yet, I can't help but feel the cold fear of doubt.
I feel the darkness closing in,
Will I be forgiven this one last sin?
Beyond the darkness heaven awaits,
But still I wonder, did the truth come too late?
As my body grows weaker, I look past the pain,
And feel a deep sadness for a life lived in vain.
My blood drips from me into a pool of crimson red,
One last breath I draw, one last tear I shed,
And now I am gone, the body is dead.
