A poem of heartache and loss
Alone in darkness as we lay,
our troubles all just melt away.
You pull me close and hold me tight
preparing for love's sensual flight.
I gaze at you and touch your skin.
I feel you tremble from within.`

I kiss your lips and stroke your flesh.
Our bodies are a perfect mesh.
You fill me up, it feels so right.
In sated bliss we'll spend the night.
You move so slow, we soar so high...
My moan becomes a softened sigh.

With passion spent we close our eyes,
and this is when you realize
that life is nothing without me
for it's my love that sets you free.
We're more than lovers, we're best friends...

And that's the way it could've been.
