How kids were at my school when I was at kindergarden. I was six at the time.
When I was six, and in kindergarden, if a kid looked funny, we merely laughed, or made a little whispered comment, possibly a loud one. Nowadays, kids are obsessed with looks! Now, everyone takes offense to everything, whilst my friends and I can crack a friendly insult at each other and chase one another around, giggling our butts off!
When I was a kid, if you stepped on a crack, or a white/black tile, you'd hear something about it. Back at my old school, we had cockroaches! (not a lot, but still a few.) We had superstition! We had class! (The other(/i} kind. Classy.)
We weren't babied: there wasn't an E on my failed math tests. I got an F.
So, why do we have that today? My old school was awesome! My kindergarden teacher sparked my interest in reading, and I learned what I needed.
Anyone else noticing these differences?
