A poem written about my relationship with a firend.
Tension has descended, as were sitting here together,
The conversations lapsed now, it couldn't last forever,
The brief spark of words had died again, as it always does,
You meant to be my best friend, the friend I'm meant to love,
But we never seem to talk anymore, why I just don't know,
We just stay together uncomfortably, silence all we show,
Of course when were around people, we can put up a facade,
But this brief interchange will not break down our vocal barricade,

So we sit here shoulder to shoulder, side by side on the bus,
Making the occasional comment, but mainly shutting up,
My mind ticks back to the days when words just seemed to flow,
When you couldn't keep us quiet, when just had that glow,
Flags, Bins, Cars, Bars, Smoking, Joking, Ridding, Sex
What happened to that spoken muscle we used to so well flex?
I know those times are gone now, and acceptance is all that's needed,
But I just wish that for one day, we didn't need to force what words succeeded.

..Nevermind..
