Oh how I miss the days

where we danced on rainbows

ate rain drops, candy-made

and sang to the tune of our own song.

We were 'ourself' in its purest form

because we knew not anything better to be

Stars gleemed in our eyes

as we would dream

of snow flake skies.

Air filled with laughter

leaping

and

skipping

minds of wonder

and knowledge

beyond our age.

Make believe and pretend

were pleasant

consumed by unicorns

and princes

fighting villans

to rescue the fair maiden.

Oh how I cherish those days

before

heartache, death, and pain.

Before

I lost all knowledge of

me for me.

I turn and look no where but in.

How everything that once held beauty

is regarded as sin :

Black and grey arches fill the sky

where the sun never seems to shine

I sing to the lyrics others have made.

Myself is someone I do not know

If I knew me, that is not who I would want to be.

Space occupies mine eyes

and I save the dreaming for my sleep

Air filled with smog,

pollen, and dust

Mind filled with worries,

problems, and disgust.

Make believe and pretend

are words used to hide a reality

consumed by

dwarfed ponies,

princes destined to fail,

conquering villans and

maidens lost in days of regret.

Oh how I miss those days....

where hope was found in the small.
