Touching deep waters

I wonder sometimes
Leaning against the shores
Whether deep beneath my shades
The dead pray for the living

I care to think sometimes
Folding beneath rocks
Swaying beneath the moons beat
Whether romance could really strive to exist

I asked myself some time ago
Whether I did wrong humankind
When I answered molten’s call
Created orphans galore

I shall not however, apologize
For I did nothing wrong
I carried my call of duty
As bound by the earth below

But be rest assured
Like falling snow
I am but water
Nor taker of life
Nor giver of death
Although I am the key…
