A poem about the battles with ones inner child.
My inner child still throws a tantrum
to get what she wants.
When things don't go her way
she beats her tiny fists, and kicks her
little feet.

When she doesn't understand
what she can't see.
My inner child battles my adult self
on a daily basis, and doesn't like to hear
what she didn't get to choose.

In a fit of rage
she wails, trying to beat down my inner wall.
To set herself free.
From the tangled web
I call her home.
