and all you want to do is hold on to this moment, before it passes
Lying with you here
Where I’ve wanted to be from the start
Your body lying next to mine raises questions
That rise and crash against the beating of my heart

We’re here and now
In this moment and how
Each time I saw this picture
I saw it as a dream
Now it’s the reality that lies here beside me
This moment I have lived
Over so many times
This moment I have lived for
The way your heart beats against mine

You don’t want to break the silence
I lay drowned in the single sigh you allowed me
When I first touched your body
And you and I became we

You don’t want to open your eyes
And come back to time, which you fear shall pass
I don’t want to close mine
In the fear that it may pass
Before I open them again

We’re here and now
In this moment and how
Each time I saw this picture
I saw it as a dream
Now it’s the reality that lies here beside me
This moment I have lived
Over so many times
This moment I have lived for
The way your heart beats against mine
