Looking at a photo from long ago wishing i could warn the people there of what is to come.
I look at your photo from long ago
so innocent, your golden eyes said.
Before you go against yourself– your greatest foe.
Before the tub fills up with a scarlet flood of red,
as your body shed the crimson tears.
I need to warn you while you are young,
and before it starts– that it’ll continue on for years
to come– to stop you from achieving the scars
and keep your body from all the harm
that you’ll put it through: the bruises and beatings
to the slicing and bleeding.
I see you before
you become sick inside.
But it wont stop there,
it continues on to scare
your family, friends, and all who care.
When we get together I’ll know about the past
oozing from your veins.
I see it when the shimmering eyes of yours
stare back at me in pain,
while enjoying the mutilation that fell
upon yourself, leading you toward Hell.
I stare at how young you were
and how little about me you knew.
But my pride stops me from telling you
what’s to come and what your future holds,
of your burdens and heavy loads.
For if you had not attempted suicide,
then what would we have gained?
God pulled us through the suffering and pain
of the punishment that you will put us through.
I know it is fate for this to be done to you,
the knives have shaped you into my Queen,
and if I warn you of this strife
to come, then you may not have scars to show
and you may have never tried to bleed
your desires away.
Your chastisement wouldn’t occur
but our love,
our relationship

would flow away instead of blood.
I shall refrain to tell of the things to come,
simply because I beg to God for your life
and desire your body scarred for eternity
rather than gone completely.
