A humerous poem (all "S" words) created for the One of a Kind poetry contest.
Prompt: All words must begin with the letter S.

Summer Sundays spent soaking sunrays
Seemed somehow soothing, so serene . . .

         Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

          (Sigh)

Stereotypical seashore scene:

         Searing sand, scorched soles
          . . . simply started Sunday's stroll.
         Spandex suit squeezed sunburned skin.
         Sneaky seashell sought submissive shin.
         Schitzo seagull swooped, struck.
         Sickening substance stank, stuck!
         Surging saltwater seemed sublime.
         Sore, scraped soles . . . slippery slime . . .

SPLASH

         Staring swimmers scoffed, snickered.
Securing stance seaweed seemed slicker . . .

SPLASH

         Scolding shock, small sharp shale,
         Summer serenity swiftly sailed!

         Summers since spent somewhat slow
          Skiing, surfing . . .
          . . . soft supple snow!
