First memory or terrible dream
A man stands facing a doorway, his back to a door
There's a woman who's face can not be seen
The room is dark, the lights out, still an artificial glow
His face is distorted and can be seen as it is now
Emotions hang in the air, electric and buzzing
So much hate, anger, and sense of loss
An array of kitchen knives rest at an arms glance
Voices building in frantic excitement
Tongues are being twisted and words spat out
All the words before these fell deaf
It's the cutting sound of murder that opens ears
Take the blade through his heart, she was urged
Remove from him a soul, life, an ability to love
Tears can be noted on the man's face
Still only seen as a perception of now
Child's eyes and ears fall on this most ominous time
Man, woman, and room alike begin to fade
No more tears, and no blood shed
Becoming obscure as a dream does
Distant and foggy like an old memory
