How many choose their eyes to perceive?
"Pieces Produce Me"

It’s amazing what people can’t see just by looking at you.
As I hide behind blonde hair, hazel eyes, pale skin, you see only what you see-
A blonde girl and I’m sure you have filled in the rest of the blanks before you even gave me a chance to reply…

It’s amazing what we cannot see
Frantic
Emotion
Nerves
Do not show

Never fit in
Always find
Push away the crowd where being unstable is not the staple

By saying you have already filled in the rest, you have already decided just why I am so quiet and never hanging out with anyone’s crowd was seen as stuck up.
Too good?

Next time you try to decide without asking, try to consider, I hide.
How dare I humiliate these precarious thoughts in front of you?
Guessing in what words really say, your fill in the blanks about me are probably better than what you could know about me.

The truth about me

Sold my soul to the fire in that man’s eyes countless times
Always having the strength to push him back to hell
Salvaging remnants of my soul that may be left from the old skin I shed

Did I kill?
Were my thoughts ill?
Or was it my faith imposed on someone else’s will?

Did the devil ask for my hand to dance just one time?
Did I take it and how many times?
The answer is we danced all night and all day

Like a matador’s red to his bull, performing trickery to satisfy travesty.
Entertainment at its best.
Skin shed, blood led

How could I, you ask?
Don’t I have any respect for myself, you ask?

The only way to retort to the innocence you still hold is,

Have you ever seen the fire in that man’s eyes
