relocation experience w/ disappointments, faith building moments, and joy ...
This is a WIP - "work in progress"

THE WAITING ROOM

Excited! Wondering where our future is headed towards now
Having left my husband's birthplace to embark upon the rest of our lives
Making that first step towards our eventful journey down south
Met with a brief setback and a big question ... was our decision wise?

We heard all the raving reports of mass opportunities,
Important milestones dear to our hearts and rich culture of history
Knowing only each other in a foreign land helped unlock the keys
Yet deep faith was reborn from a strange disappointing mystery

Heading back north, we retraced our steps to a little town so quaint
The circumstances left us exhausted, disgusted, and enraged
There was a dim light at the end, but in the pause we grow faint
Help came from several angels, so our paths we can gauge

To exhale is an eternity, for we have no real place to lay
The potential of our future hangs wearily in the wings
Although good news is pending … one more night, one more stay
Until we're finally settled in the new city filled with our hopes and dreams

Our patience was met with unsure actions of choice
Not sure if we can make it, there is not much we can presume.
But wait! Our answer has come. Our silence finally regained its voice
We can see our way, now pondering lessons learned in the waiting room.
