This is a poem about emotionally dying, not literally.
I died the other night.
It was like a chainsaw,
Sawing through my chest.
Only one tear was shed that evening,
A tear from a picture of my love.
Wishing and praying for me to stop.
But the pain was too wonderful.
I wanted more. I HAD to have more.

I died the other night.
As sinful as it may sound.
I'd hoped to God that I could stay alive.
Just a little while longer
So that I could tell my loved one
How much I love him so.

But I died the other night,
And the saw blade just kept turning,
Twisting my insides to mush.
Dying now seems better than
Keeping this secret from my world,
The only man I have ever loved so dearly.
My Baby. My Life. My Joy. My Pain.

I died the other night.
Please help me, Love. Oh, help me.
Don't let me die again.
I'm fading away slowly.
Don't let me die like this. Hold me tight.
Don't let me go. I'm dying now.
Just like I died the other night.
