A poem for my sister who passed away...
You were stolen from us too soon
Never given a chance to say goodbye
Two young children now left to mourn
Without the slightest of reasons why

Their loving mother will no longer
         Wipe their tender tears away
Or laugh at their childish antics
As they wrestle, laugh, and play

That night your children found you
Standing there, they trembled in fright
When your daughter saw your face so blue
She ran for the phone with all of her might

Alone she called her father and 911 too
Hot tears fell as she held her little brother
When the ambulance sped away with you
She whispered one last time; goodbye mother

The precious memories that we made
Live in our hearts so strong and true
Until the day, in my grave I am laid
Once again, I will be reunited with you

A daughter and son are your legacy
Through them you will forever live on
You went when the Lord summoned thee
Beyond the pearly gates you have gone
