A short about a child that is seperated from his grandparents whilst christmas shopping.
Lost

There he was, alone in the world a young child of four years old.
How did he come to be like this?
He was not always this way, once upon a time he was under the
Watchful eye of his doting grandparents pointing at colourful Christmas displays in the shop-front windows but now, now he is alone, after a moment of complacency he is left alone, in a world that is large beyond his comprehension,
a world that is scary and full of danger.
He turns this way and that only to see faces that he does not recognise,
Faces that stare blankly ahead, faces hide the buzzing minds of people
going about their daily deeds.
How could they not notice him? He thought how it could be that
At a time where he is so terrified, his whole world has been turned
Upside-down and all these grown-up’s carrying on as if nothing’s changed.
Helpless he begins to walk along the street, all the while hoping that the very next face he see’s will show a smile in his direction, a hint of recognition anything!
That will make him feel safe again but alas; his hope is all but lost on these people
Far too busy, will anyone help this boy? So lost and alone he continues to walk
Dragging his heels, people’s faces becoming blurry now as his eyes begin to well
With tears, until finally HE recognises someone, in familiar blue clothes, a man, a POLICEMAN! He begins to sob now, unsure if he will be in trouble and approaches
the kind looking policeman.
