From a time of darkness and inability to progress.
Feels like a light
At the end of the tunnel,
But I can’t seem to find
My way back from the under.
My mind seems numb
In the night I see,
The chance will come;
The light will be.
The moisture is odd
As a memory unfolds,
To a stain on my cheek,
Lost behind years untold.
With an emotional prod
My wings spread wide;
Heart failed to beat;
My soul filled with pride.
The moment then passed,
And looking back I see,
The shadow is black;
To a once lost me.
Felt like a light
At the end of the tunnel;
I just cried and tucked
My wings back under.
