The mind I used to have wasn't like this...I don't like it but I can't change it.
Black
Pinging back into my brain
Black
Shooting up inside my vein
Black
The color of my leaving train
Black
My only way to counter pain.

The sun is gone, the stars appear
I see my escape and reluctance here;
A chilling, mortal, helpless fear
Could not find solace in your tear.

Down on the street of mystery
I see the black and can't be free
the night encroaches on the sea
blurring the line of sympathy.

Vague amazement, yet no smile
I sink into the age-old mire
And reflect on complex desire
I see nothing but my fire.

Black
Shocking the monsters inside
Black
Making all the allies cry
Black
Telling mother that I won't die
Black
Telling father that he's a lie.
