One moment of eternity that's rare in this lifetime.
Been a long time since I've taken a walk
On the empty pavement 'round the shaded corner.
I find it strange retracing my steps,
Back and again while trying to comprehend.

Awe seized me in the stillness of night,
Gazing at the black velvet canvass overhead.
No sign of crescent glory nor twinkling drops,
Yet, I was left standing succumbed by forever.

Never felt this alone and so serene with the world,
Vented all my worries as cold breeze swept,
Ask myself, how can possibly such moment exist,
Unforseen, unfeigned, nothing that I've known.

When everything that surrounds are all studded,
And my senses can't figure where to thrive,
A quiet wandering stroll can be a sweet remedy,
Nothing to lose, nothing to give but more to unravel.

Such a soothing way to forget what I've become,
Even for an instant, brings me back to the lil' girl within.
Everything used to be simple, just wonder and ask;
When did the clock tick? It happened too fast.

For awhile I was there, peering at myself
Through the reflection the night sky conveys.
I did see the things that I've long been avoiding,
Cleared it's way for my whole being to accept.

Then a sudden crack parted my dark mirror,
Drips came trickling, piercing through phantoms,
Hit me gracefully, soaking my numb ensemble,
Resonated the message while rinsing a blurry soul.

A second's eternity is all it takes somehow
To know which way to head in a tangled road.
My feet move with certainty in each stride,
Telling me it's time, it's time to choose home.*Rolleyes*
