Escape from childhood leads to Neverland
The morning of her life was
drenched in confusion and sadness.
A world of endless struggle,
senseless brink of madness.
Her saviour, endless daydreams:
How else survive an unheeded cry?
No open hand, no smile to lift.
But she found a gift, and rode it away.
Symphonic winds in the trees captured her
while rainy day rhythms enraptured her
with rainbows embraced in sapphire
and sunsets that brought her soul to cry.
Once upon she was a princess
and rebellious storm winds swept her away.
To Neverland, forever:
How else survive an unheeded cry?
No open hand, no smile to lift,
So she found a gift, and rode it away.
The world for her held wonders
of which she could not drink enough.
While mysteries are a hero's
Plunder and flood her with delight.
